A joke to us, but the issues they twist and lie about are nothing to joke about and they should all be ashamed at what they are doing. I know controversy brings in the money and ratings but it would be nice to hear on the national news how the government spent a million dollars on a homeless shelter in New York, or how they built a 300 mile artificial coral reef in the south Atlantic in order to preserve the life down there. Both of these issues happened within the week but we as the public have to search for this information because all the media is concerned about is making the country and our leaders out to be the worst scum on earth because it gets people to watch it.

The media is a business and are very self-serving. They make issues where none exist, promote fruitless causes in the interests of their customers...the advertisers. Most editorial policy is dictated by those advertisers, and it is well-known that many stories and videos are slanted and literally paid for by politicians. The current fiasco with the illegals is probably generated by the White House to divert some attention so that they can get on with other more devious ploys. Are the newspapers and/or other media spineless...no just astute businessmen in the science of propaganda. Wars have been created (at the behest of profit) such as the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, and Baby Lindberg's supposed kidnapper was literally deprived of a fair trial because the FBI and the government wanted a guilty verdict. But remember that people are content to be told how to think as it takes too much effort to think for themselves.

I say they are both. No member of the American media is willing to get to ask the toughest of questions since 9/11, so I feel they are too biased in my opinion. I instead choose to seek other sources of media for an unbiased view of things!

85% of all news organizations in this country are owned by 5 major corporations all with vested interest in other global markets. The major News outlets - FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN - are an extension of the public relations machine of the White House. They do this in order to "manufacture consent" a term coined by Edward Bernays (the father of modern public relations) as a means to control public opinion.....the last tool and power citizens have in this country to combat government injustice. The CIA has a program entitled "Operation Mockingbird" which establishes CIA personnel in nearly all media outlets to further enhance the manipulation of truth in media.

No news station is unbiased. That's why you got to do your own further research and pick out the fact from fiction by thinking logically about the issues.

Neither, they are just reporting the news. It is you that will not take the time to research and determine what is news. Just because you disagree with a certain news clip or for that matter all news does not make it erroneous and does not make you right.

The media has gone big time corporate -- so you get jellyfisn, bland news and propaganda. We're lucky to have the internet in these times.
