12 weeks is way too early, especially for a first pregnancy. around 16 weeks is more like it, and for a first time it could be 18 weeks. don't worry....just enjoy this time.

Sweety please don't worry, I am 19 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby, with my first I didn't feel him move until 18 weeks that was just the fluttering, I didn't feel proper kicks until 20 weeks, with my daughter I felt her at 17 weeks with the flutters and this time I was 16 weeks before I felt the flutters and it was only once or twice in a week as its very hard to tell, now i have just started to feel the baby all the time so every time he is awake I can feel him and its more the fact I remembered the feeling of the flutters, with first time mums you can mistake the flutters for maybe gas floating around your stomach. So everything will happen soon enough. I know how hard it is to be patient I was the same until last week when I could feel bub everyday, It was driving me nuts and I even went to the doctor for a fear of miscarriage, but felt better once I heard the heartbeat. Hope the next few weeks go by fast for you. Congratulations and good luck

I understand you, I'm a first time mom too and sometimes we just get worried about nothing. Your baby is still very small at 12 weeks, so the chances of you feeling it being a 1st mom are very slim. My dr told me that 2nd time moms feel them like at 16 wks, maybe less because they already know what to expect. We 1st time moms generally feel the baby around 18 wks and up, some women don't feel them until week 24, so dont make a big deal out of it. You will feel the fluttering in some more weeks, and it's the most amazing thing (my baby girl stated to kick already)

12 weeks is VERY early! Even for my 5th baby I was closer to 16 weeks before I felt anything and that's because I knew what I was looking for.

With my 3rd son I was 12 weeks before I knew I was pregnant (long story) so please don't worry. I would assume most women don't feel the baby this early. Baby is roughly 2inches big and VERY low in your uterus still...you can't feel 2 inches kicking, hitting or even moving in all honesty.

BABY AT 12 WEEKS
Vocal cords begin to form - While perhaps not quite ready to be introduced to the nearest opera stage, your infant will use these immediately following the moment of birth. Bet you can't wait to hear that first cry!
Those precious eyes begin to move closer together - Are you wondering if he will have mommy's crystal green eyes, daddy's laughing brown ones, or maybe out of the gene pool will emerge grandma's clear blue!
Ears shift to their normal place on the side of the head
Intestines move farther in to your child's body
His or her liver begins to function - Responsible for cleansing the blood, storing nutrients, and providing needed chemicals, this is an important event!
The pancreas begins to produce insulin
Guess what? Your baby's average size is now at a whopping length: 2.13 inches (5.4cm) and weight: 0.49 ounce (14gm)

Relax, this is not at all abnormal. This is my third pregnancy and with the previous two I did not feel movement until close to my 16th to 18th weeks. I was actually finding it somewhat amazing that I am feeling some movement as early as my 12th week with this pregnancy. Everything can and often will worry you during pregnancy, that is normal. Try not to stress over little things. Pray that you will have a healthy pregnancy and baby. Good luck!

Still a little early. You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks.

Everybody is different, I first felt those little butterfly wings scraping the inside of my about the same time you are. It's just so cool, isn't it? Don't worry about it being dead, It was just telling you it was there and it will start coming more and more, just wait until you get a foot kicking you in the lung! Even that is totally cool.

WTH? Most people don't feel their babies move, especially in a first pregnancy, until they're at LEAST 15 weeks, and often closer to 20.

Don't worry yourself unnecessarily. If you don't have any bleeding or pain, you don't have anything to fuss about.
