Definitely the first thing you need to do is find out for sure. If she hasn't started her period (she is only 12) yet, she's probably not preg. If she has started getting them, then she needs to wait until her missed period, or like 4 weeks after her intercourse to take a test. If she is indeed pregnant, then I can't stress enough that she needs to tell her parents. Strict or not, she's very young and an abortion is dangerous. (whether or not its murder is not whats important rght now. Maybe she can discuss that with her parents later) Especially if she is going to go to a place where parental consent is not required. He parents will be mad for sure, but after some time they will get over the disappointment and be there to help her. She can't think that she will go "unpunished" for being irresponsible.

Why does she think she's pregnant? Is she late? Did she take a test? Don't either of you panic until you know for sure.
If she is, strict parents or not, she had sex and she can't go this alone. She has to tell them. She''ll get through it. 12 is too young to be having sex let alone be a mother.
Your opinions on abortion don't matter. As a best friend your job is to support HER no matter what happens. Unfortunately I am sure you will get a lot of personal views on abortion vs. adoption with this question but what it comes down to is what your friend's parents decide. (she is not old enough to make this decision alone, in the eyes of the law or any other way)

I dont want to sound mean here...but why is a 12 year old girl getting knocked up in the first place? Oh well, its her decision.
Well, if you can, first figure out if she really IS pregnant. If not, you worried for nothing. If she is, then go to your school, and talk to the guidance counselor. They are the people who can really help you in these times, and they understand everything you tell them.
Next, you still need to tell her parents. They have a right to know, and even if they are strict, you better tell them, because if they find out, and she didn't tell them, it's going to be that much worse.

Well, I can see why her parents are strict, but obviously not strict enough. Yea, her parents will have to go with her to the doctors. Or call planned parenthood and get a pregnancy test. Are you sure your friend isnt yanking your chain for attention??? I know a lot of girls do that stuff now a days. I dont understand it but they do! If she is....She WILL have to let them know. Also, she cant get an abortion without her parents knowing because you have to be a certain age to do it on your own.

You have to be 18 years old to have an abortion without parental consent. If she's only 12 then she needs to tell her parents. Yes her parents will be extremely disappointed in her, but you can't go through this as a 12 year old without your parents.

Has she gotten a pregnancy test? But if she is, definitively she needs to tell a grown up. Be her school counsel or, teacher, etc. They will help with telling the parents.I can also tell you that sometimes 12 yrs old girls can miss periods, specially if she started late. I would be worry that she can contract a disease if she is having sex without protection that has brought her to this position. Where is the father of the baby?, he needs to fess up, is not only her fault, it takes two to make a baby, is he older?. Jeez what is going on in this world today, at 12 I was still playing with dolls.

Her parents being so strict didn`t rub off on her, huh!
Well, surely her parents will NOT kill her, no matter how angry they will be at her for not only having sex at that age but to not take precautions while doing it.
But this is probably going to be the biggest decision of her life and she needs to talk to her parents about it, it affects the whole family. I am not going to discuss abortion here because that is too big of a subject in itself.
Anyway, good luck

She NEEDS to tell her parents, this is a very dangerous situation for her. That is the only way she is going to get the proper help. I know 12 is young and her parents have the right to be mad, but if they don't put her health and safety first and deal with the morals later it would be sad.

she need help now ,take her to a doctor or school councillor or teacher ,she will have to tell her parents and hopefully they will help even if they are upset .A nice female doctor will help ,even if she is not pregnant she will need to talk to a doctor so she wont get pregnant next time .At this age an abortion may be reasonable but she needs to talk to the doctor about that too as you cant have them every were or late in the pregnancy
