Madonna won a Golden Globe for her performance in the movie "Evita" and yet she is regarded the worst actress

Will Madonna make a good movie in the future? Do you think she can act? Why does she make bad film choices? Tell me why......

I love Madonna. But I think , unfortunately, she is such a strong persona in the music industry that no matter what role she takes, unless it's singing, she will always be seen as Madonna. The viewer can never suspend reality and see her as the character she is trying to portray.
And did I mention that I love her?

I really think Madonna picks movies with characters that she feels she is similar to (or wants to come across like)... and that's why she has quite consistently gotten bad reviews for her acting. Instead of trying to get a character like herself (a vamp or whatnot), she should go for a different type of role, maybe something serious, like the one Charlize Theron had (the female serial killer). Then, if she can suspend our disbelief for any length of time (and have us believe the character she is playing), she might get a good review. I personally think Madonna is way tired, and doesn't have the nerve to go without makeup, but on good days, can sound okay. I liked her in Evita because I liked the singing. Love the show tunes!

When the said worst actress I think they were referring to the fact that she's done a few movies and only one was a hit. You've got to admit, Who's that girl, Desperately seeking Susan and the one she did with her ex Sean Penn were really bad.

However, I do believe that she has the potential to make a good movie, she just hasn't found the right role yet. I do think she was pretty good in A League Of Their Own, but with Geena Davis, Tom Hanks and all of the other big names in it, she was pushed back into the shadows and couldn't really shine.

I thought she did acceptable jobs in Dick Tracy, League, Susan, etc. I didn't see Evita because of the hatchet job that they did to the original script just to please Madonna.

Madonna's public life is one big acting job. What you see in public -- and it the tabloids -- is pure act. I'd say that she's pretty good at convincing millions of people of whatever new personality that she's using at any given time.

Why does she make bad film choices? As I recall, even Audrey Hepburn had her time, then couldn't get any good roles and took some bad films, then finally quit the biz.

Madonna is not to meant to be an actress. She is a wonderful singer but all of the roles that are given to her stink. She needs to stay right where she is.

personally, i loved her in evita so im not sure why she was bashed so much for that role. i dont think she's necessarily a bad actress, critics just cant see past that she's a music icon and wont take her seriously.
