Here's the story: We have a new manager of our office who I have worked for in the past, so we know each other on a working basis (some friendship cuz we've partied together too). He joined me and some friends for a drink one evening and we had a nice conversation. My friend said she didn't interrupt because of it and she says she can tell he "really likes me" because of the way he looks at me. I laughed cuz I thought it was funny, but I kinda wish she was right. Could it be worth pursuing further? What are your thoughts? (And I'm not sure how to show him I'm interested anyway in a very stuble way-cuz of work ya know)

well, is he in a position of power over you? Are you equals at work? or is he manager over some other, completely unrelated team?

This would determine how I would proceed. I would flirt (we are good at that) give him the signals that you are interested. Very subtle. Toss the hair, bat the eyelashes, touch your skin, you know the "come talk to me signals". Touch him on the shoulder when you talk to him, laugh at his jokes, just subtle flirting. See how he reacts. If he doesn't seem to be receptive, you can back off and still save face. If, however, he is interested in you in that way, he will give you the signals.. You'll play this back and forth for a while, both of you being cautious, and eventually... it will all work out. Good luck!

Be you ...thats it..no games..and if he likes you..hell ask you out..but if hes shy..drop maybe a few hints..and remember men are a little slower than women..scientifically proven..so patient..and kinda interview him first...so you dont get in to deep and end up making things weird at work..like when you guys are out ask how his last relationship ended.and if hes ever cheated on someone..but not like that..work it into the conversation..so it doesnt seem odd..anyway your a smart girl you know what i mean..

Yeah...all that, that everybody has said...BUT...
you really need to weigh the "dating the boss" thing, and how it might affect your job, the attitudes of your co-workers, etc, and consider the possibility of it NOT working out and how that, then will affect everything.

to be subtle ask little questions here & ther.... u seeing any1? interested in any1? any1 at the office?...
something like that.
then show signs... smile at him, say hello wen you see him, laugh at his jokes(even if not funny)
