I got a 131. What does that mean?

I'm 34 years old woman, born and raised in Brazil and living in the US.
I am now back in college after having being out of any type of school for over 13 years.

It means you're 'gifted,' or 'not an idiot like most people.'

It means that you're a bright person. In some areas you're probably downright gifted. Average IQ, after all, is 100. Average for college grads is probably 120.
It means that you could probably pass the Mensa exams.
Beyond that, it means nothing. It doesn't mean you'll do well in college, since you could be a slacker and end up flunking out.
If doesn't mean you'll be successful in business, because the world is full of high-IQ street people, parking lot attendants and burger-flippers, while those with average IQs might work hard, follow the rules, and are too stupid to realize that they can't succeed (they'll tell you that last one as a joke). And, you might end up going into a vocation that you're not suited for, and fail horribly.
If you meniton it to people, they won't like you any more than they do otherwise. In fact, they might think you're a jerk if you mention it.
And the last time I played Mensa, I beat several Mensa types.
Sooooo... what does mean?
Nothing.
(PS - my IQ is somewhere near yours, depending on the test).

Eighty percent of the population has a 100 IQ. IQ of 131 means no trouble getting a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. If you haven't done it yet, go for it.
Somewhere along the way is Statistics class and one of the examples generally used in the class is the percentage of the population with various IQ's but I don't want to ruin it for you.

It means you're much, much smarter than the current occupant of the White House. It also means that you're something like 9 points short of being qualified to join MENSA which is for people who are basically in the genius category. You obviously have a good mind, so don't let it go to waste.

131 is nice. 120 is average. 180 is genius. I am mentally retarded, level three, so I am around 70.
