I don't think so. He first has to ok a no trade clause.
A Rod wasn't the only Yankee who stunk the joint up in the playoffs this year.
His salary is huge and not too many teams can take him on.
Look for the White Sox to spend some money, but I don't think A Rod would be on their list.
And how much do the Yankees want to get rid of him?
We will see what happens, but I am inclined to think that he will stay where he is.

He does NOT have a "no trade" clause, nor does any Yankee, but he might as well because it will be real hard to move that contract. It is possible, but yanks will have to take on some other stiff's huge contract.

My apologies to ZOOMPRONC. After further research, I was surprised to find that A-Rod DOES have a "no trade" clause. But I imagine he would wave it if he knew how much the Yankees wanted to get rid of him and he were to go to a legitimate contender, which would be the only teams that would want him.

the contract is to big, for the money he gets he should come through in the clutch, not all blame should fall on him, i do not believe he will be traded remember this is A-Rod lets not forget the years he has had before, one year does not sum up the career he has had, and i also know he will never be the man in N.Y. that is Jeters team. for the record i am not a Yankees fan

an attempt might be made..but face it...it's not getting a team that wants him the problem...the problem is the money....no body in their right mind would want this guy....too much money asked in this deal...the yankees would have to stick with this guy for probably a few more seasons and then try to buy him out or trade him then to a team in need of some instant offense trying to enter the post season...but no rebuilding team should ever try to get this guy

Yankees ruined it by paying him so much. What was he to do, turn it down? With a no-trade clause he'd have to approve (and he's a born New Yorker) it doesn't seem likely. Besides, who are they going to get thats better? I would care less how much they boo me, making that kind of money. Steinbrenner ruined him.

I have a friend who knows a person who likes this guy who used to know a friend who grew up with a cousin of Alex, and he tells me that Mr. Rodriguez might go, if all goes according to plan A (if not Plan B would have to go in effect), to a certain team outside the state of New York.

This has not been confirmed, as this persons cell is not taking calls at this time.

I don't think so, he has a no trade clause and he wants to stay there.

That said, I think it'd be best for him if he went elsewhere.

But he's such a good player, I don't think he'll go anywhere, it will take a massive trade to move a player like Arod.

i hope we don't get him, many times a high profile guy like himself can be of more harm then good to a team if it's the wrong fit, as for us(twins) first off we couldn't afford him, and second why take on the ego, it won't be long before t.o is history in dallas as well

He will come back and put up great numbers, and the Yankees still won't win.
