I have a peace palm , only 2 feet high. Was doing fine till I repotted it about 3 months ago. I'm afraid it's roots are rotting. It just looks wilted constantly. Do you think I can save it if I repot one of the healthiest sections. Would like to save it if at all possible since it was a gift to me when my husband passed away 4 years ago.

Repotting is a good option. Be sure the pot has drainage holes. Trim obviously damaged roots. They'll be mushy, you'll see. Put 2" of dead leaves in the bottom of the pot, soil, plant, soil. Water with Root Stimulator -- Fertilome makes a stim that I've used successfully. It will encourage rapid new root growth. The leaves in the bottom will provide organic matter as they decompose and keep the soil from leaking out of the pot. Peace lilly's don't like wet feet (being constantly wet) nor being totally dry. You'll do fine.

Did you allow for drainage when you re potted the plant? Try looking up peace palm's on the net before you re pot the good section to make sure you are using the correct pot, soil and drainage. You may also try to going to a professional plant center in your area first. Sound like root rot and that is caused from the roots not having a chance to dry out. Good Luck.

This happens to us frequently with house plants. I take them outside and plant them and replace with others. Don't know where you live, but my outside ones are doing fine.
