The Wii is the new name of the Revolution. This was confirmed somewhere around May 2006

They are the same system. The Revolution was what they called the prototype. They decided to call it the Wii.

When nintendo started making a next-generation system, it was code-named the "Revolution", because it would bring about a so-called "revolution in gaming". Sadly Nintendo released the official name this year, "Wii". Wii in japanese, means "good".
