Staring Jan 8th 2007 it will be required for US citizens to have a passport traveling to Mexico, Caribbean, Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, S. America, Etc. Anywhere outside the US. If you have a passport great, if not please apply soon depending on where your passport application is sent to can determine if it takes 4 weeks or 12 weeks to get your passport.

You need a passport to travel to another country, Mexico is the only country (as far as I know) where Americans can come and go without it. I don´t know why, every single person should be asked for a passport to cross the border to another country.

Yes you do, you use to be able to just use your birth certificate, but that law changed a few years back. I believe you also still need proof of a recent malaria shot.
