Whooboy, have you opened a can of worms here....!!! Want honest feedback from an Old Dinosaur nurse?
(Puts on glasses; gets on soapbox, falls off it, and says heck with it---will talk from the ground)
Know quite a few people in the BDSM/kink community, and a fair number of them have indicated that they had kink-related fantasies or interests in their teens (although many of them weren't exactly sure **how** the heck to describe them, at the time they first began showing interest). So you don't necessarily seem to be way out on the fringes, BUT we don't exactly have a lot of scientific studies and polls of alternative sexualities among young people....
It's a good thing that y'all are planning on delaying intercourse and such, but cybersex is pretty "hot" in its own right---and potentially explosive, even without adolescent hormones kicking in. (I'm old, but not dead yet, hon.)
Great big challenges here: your age, your age, and your age. BTW, your age (you are legally a minor in most US jurisdictions) is going to be a significant problem for a number of years.
You cannot, in most areas, give a valid consent to "vanilla" (non-kinky) sexual activity at your age. Whether it's fair or not, face it--it's the law on the books, and you've gotta deal with it.
Adults well over the age of 21 have faced **criminal assault charges** for consensual BDSM activities; I think you can imagine the possible impact if you (and boyfriend) were outed....even for cyberplay, it's touchy.
Also, you're not going to be able to connect with reputable BDSM educational/informational groups in the "real world", for the pure and simple reason listed above: your age. They cannot and will not work with you because of this; it's WAYYYY too risky legally, ethically, morally, financially, publically, socially....think that covers the waterfront.
The best I can suggest is that you keep things in the personal MENTAL fantasy world until you hit legal majority (that's relatively safe), and when you're "old enough", then you can explore alternative sexual expression--- in a responsible, ****safe, sane, and consensual*** fashion if you still want to.
BDSM/kink is hot, but it's also really "advanced material"---not for rookies. Don't worry, though----kinkiness been around for a couple of hundred years or so, and I think you can probably find, oh, three or seven kinkyfolk still around in the US ten years from now (g).

Yes, I think it's odd. I could understand if you were older or more experienced (in your 20's?) and you wanted to explore this stuff, but not at 15!!!

I don't think so. I think it's normal to be kinky. Some people like it, others, it's not for. If you both like it, do it, but don't kill eachother.
