Do most people think that they are good people, Do you?

Well, Lets see if you are. Have you ever lied (even a white lie) then you are a liar, have you ever stolen anything (even something small) then you are a thief, have you ever lusted toward someone of the opposite sex (Jesus said if anyone has look with lust than you have commited adultery in your heart) Matthew 5:27-28. Have you ever used Gods name as a cuss word, thats called blasphemy and its very serious to God. So if you've answered yes to these Questions then by your own admition you,re a liar,thief and a blasphemous adulterer at heart and when God judges you on the day of judgement you will be guilty and you will go to hell, but God sent his only son Jesus as the sacrifice for your sins to suffer and die on the cross and then raise again from the dead If you dont recive Jesus as your savior then you will have to pay your own sin debt. So please recieve Jesus as your savior and turn from your sins and read your bible daily and do it today because you might not have tommorrow.

Eeeee gawd...here I am back in the Religious section again...I hate it when that happens...it must be late.
Well yes, I think that most people think they are good. However I have a different opinion of some of them. Some pretend to be good and are just good at pretending but don't fool anyone. Others are good just for the sake of it, it would be against their nature to be otherwise. Then there is that group that are all snakes in the grass. I've met and known many. So there are those that are and those that think they are. Few would admit to being downright bad but I've met one or two of them as well.and appreciate their honesty. My thoughts on the subject are there are all types and you will meet and have to live with all of them at one time or another. they are just human. I often times prefer the company of my two dogs. Does that do it for you?

It isn't that simple. The APOSTLES lied, you know. Cain murdered and lied without punishment. The apostles also stole a donkey for Jesus to ride. After Jesus was arrested, Peter denied that he knew Him with an oath!

And the picnic hasn't even started yet. What happens to the people who accept Jesus and go right back to lying and stealing and other forbidden activities, like vicious gossip (which is a form of cannibalism). EVERY ONE I EVER MET who has been "saved" is still a turd because their "salvation" means nothing in their daily conduct.

What should I do? Pretend to forgive those who have pretended to accept Jesus but won't change their lives at all? Got any recommendations?

Another thing about your post shugs the bit out of me -- how do you KNOW what God's judgment is going to be of them or of you or of me? Where's the secret code book in the New Testament that tells us how God will judge us?

Let me tell YOU a little secret. It used to be that the primary virtue of a Christian was HUMILITY.

But to the modern, pentacostal and evangelical Christians, this boring virtue has been replaced by the primacy, on the part of "believers" of an hysterical enfatuation with Jesus.

Stay away from that hysteria -- in others and in yourself. Those snakes bite you once you get proud of handling them.

As to whether I myself am a good person or not, I have no clear notion. In some ways I'm a prince, and in other ways, I'm an a**hole. My opinion of myself is that I'm perplexed about me.

Yes you are right we are all sinners. But we have a loving God who will forgive us. And tomorrow I'm going to confession, and start again, I'll keep trying to get it right. But I am a good person, I try to help people in need. I give to the poor,most of the time I put others before myself. and I'll even say a pray for you.

Most of us tend 2 think that v r good ppl but da fact is deep inside they find things that they really regret having done
It's natural 2 hav an attraction 2 da opposite sex
v must try 2 avoid doing things like thieving, lying, killing, getting drunk (cuz u dont know wat u'll do. u'll b out of ur mind) and cursing and behaving badly
u say that da god judges us all
I say v judge ourselves
da things that v do judge us
if v do something good v'll hav good things in return
if v do something bad v'll get bad in return
v must try 2 avid sinning & try 2 do more merit
if u r a wealthy person try 2 donate some of ur money 2 da ones who are poor and b honest wit wat u r doing

We are all human and ALL of us have lied or done questionable things at one time or another. It is disingeuous to think that by making a decision that you are absolved of those trasgressions. Accepting Christ into your heart does not take away all the "bad" things you have done in your life.

I know I have made mistakes and sinned, but I do believe I am an overall good person. Everyone can be "good" as long as they live life through Jesus, and do what he wants us to do.

This is a never ending debatable subject. It doesnt matter what you do, the world will always be the world. Its in ourselves to make the difference.
