I referee soccer games, and I'm bullied by the coaches all the time. I don't want to seem like a b****, but I DO want to let them know that I'M in charge.

Okay, before the game starts, call both coaches over and tell them you're making the calls and you won't accept disrespectful comments from either coach. Explain to both coaches you will warn both players and coaches about bad sportsmanship.
-Be clear in your calls and work with both linesman and have clear communication.
-Be sure to warn players on both sides about fouls and that the next one will be considered a yellow card if you notice the game getting out of hand.
-Tell the coaches and players that when there is a stop in play for a foul that play will continue when you whistle just in case you need to book someone or you're consulting with the linesmen.
-Some teams like quick restarts and if you're comfortable with this then be consistent.
-Be sure you are close to the ball and can see fouls clearly.

oh yeah...that happens in every game....its always the referees fault if a player has been booked/red carded/fouled.Well,the main thing is dont think ull act lyk a b**** when ull stand up to the coaches. In every football game in the world,a referees decision is final. If any bloody coach tries to pester you ,give them a piece of ur mind!teach the bloody football illiterate coaches the rules!Tell them that you are the referee.Your player is a bloody diver and he deserved it.Your goalkeeper duz not need to tie his shoelace while he needs to perform a goal kick. That's called time-wasting.u can be booked on both the above offenses.ok and heres the good part "Sir,this is not the way to act in a football game.oh...sorry..uve never played in one?"
Remember the main thing is to feel good abt urself, keep calm and stick to verbal fights.(that means do NOT sit on the coach's chest and kick his head wid your boots....)

Act in charge, they can go to hell. Just be honest about things. If you think it was a penalty or foul then call it! Don't change ur mind unless it was TRULY a bad call! (like that pently that was called in the last seconds of a World Cup game, Italy Vs. Australia. That was so not a penalty, they needed to go into over time!!)

Learn it from the Bully himself...None other than Zidane the Vicious Bull. Practise headbutting and you will be in total charge!
