who do you think will take the heat for the loss of the series to the Tigers.

Of the players who I blame for this loss to the Tigers is Jeter because he is the Captian of this team. He should have gotten in his teammates faces about how they are playing and get them energized.

I think George Steinbrenner should take the heat and fire himself!

No, Jeter should take no heat. Yes, he's captain but the captain should also lead by example, which he did. He did more than his share in the series. He should not have to motivate others for a playoff series, they should be ready to play themselves. If they need Jeter to get them up for the postseason, then they were in trouble before it started.

The pitching sucked, that's the main reason they lost. The Tiger hitters are not that great, have a lot of holes, and strike out a ton. However, they looked like well, the Yankees did during the season.

I love Torre, he's a class act, but yes, he should take some heat. He had great players, so obviously there's something wrong somewhere.

A-Rod's been being picked on for the complete past season...I don't thnk he did grossly horrible today, but I don't really care...Jeter's a good player, but I was so happy that the Tigers won because, no offense, but the Yankees win too many times and I think it's great for the Tigers to have a much-wanted shot :)

Have a nice day!

To blame Jeter is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

It all starts at the top - Cashman, then, I hate to say it, Joe Torre.

What's all this TEAM crap. That crap doesn't work for baseball. It's a team sport but individuals can definitely win or lose a game for the team. Just look at pitchers records and you will notice they are charged with WINS and LOSSES.

and by the way, I can almost guarantee that Cashman will be fired.

The GM SHOULD take the heat, he put this team together. Spending $200 million on a baseball team does not work. The Yankees have become to this decade what the Orioles were to the '90s...high payroll, low results.

You can't blame Jeter. He is Captain and he leads by example.

I'd say Cashman will take the heat. He was looking pretty uncomfortable in his seat come the 8th inning of today's game.

There are two people I would blame. Joe Torre and A-Rod. Jeter did what he could but A-Rod contributed nothing. Then the heat is going to fall on Joe Torre for not taking A-Rod out.

I think the Yankees are victims of the new Era of baseball. They don't spend well and pitching and have suffered in the post season the last few years for it. Mangement is to blame.

No one player is to blame for the loss. You win as a team, you lose as a team.
