ok i havent watched this how in a long time...what happened between stabler and olivia? i watched the new episode tonight...they were talking about stabler's wife? i thought they were divorced!!! please be detailed on what happened between the 2 detectives! thank u!

Last season(season 7) Olivia asked the Capt. for a different partner like three episodes before the season ended because Benson thought the two of them(Olivia and Elliot) were too protective of each other, and too emotionally involved, and they put themselves before the job.... if you go to itunes and download the episode "Fault" you will see why they split them up... so after Olivia asked for a new partner she started working computer crimes. They got back together when Benson moved back to the squad after a case that involved her a lot. Stabler's wife wants a divorce but i don't think he has signed the papers yet because he hopes they will get back together, his wife wants a divorce because he was working all the time. Now Olivia is going on a special undercover assignment for the FBI(only the captain knows where she is), so she won't be on the next 6 episodes.... technically Mariska(olivia) is on maternity leave so that's why she isn't on the show.

Benson quit being his partner.Olivia was on a case undercover and the FBI took her from SUV and she will play the girl undercover until the case is solved. They couldn"t risk letting her tell her partner or anyone else where she went and why it would jeopardize her life and her cover!!! It wasn"t her decision she was forced by the FBI. Stabler is divorced.Elliot and Olivia did have a close romantic moment and it made her feel uncomfortable but in real life shes having a baby, hence the undercover job!

stabler did get divorced and olivia is now under cover for the FBI and stabler has a new partner, but he doesnt know where olivia is only the boss knows.

Olivia was sent away in an undercover job. In real life, it was to cover for her having a baby (sometime over the summer, I think).
