There is a whole constellation of symptoms which fall into the realm of the Irritable Bowel Syndrome or nervous stomach. This frequently has been called Spastic Colitis. This is not a disease but rather a group of symptoms which may be attributed to stress, tension and anxiety. The symptoms may be diarrhea, diarrhea alternating with constipation, constipation, mucus in the stools and abdominal pain. Often the diagnosis is made after a reasonable medical evaluation is performed to rule out other causes of the symptoms. There are an explosion of medications that allow us to treat nervous stomach or irritable syndrome much more effectively .

I suffer from a condition called "CVS" or Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome" also known as "migraines in the stomach"
It is a childhood disorder usually so if you had it as a kid it is likely this if your still suffering as an adult.... you need to eliminate all other causes with tests though (such as gall stones etc.) but worth a look at their website here is the link....
www.cvsaonline.org
I now take anti-depressants... these help for me...
often have cereal at night time (this stops your blood sugar from going too low over night and waking up feeling sick)
But the BIGGEST factor is stress....
And yes.... do breath.... slow deep breaths... look up ante natal exercises for more on this....
meditate... (stop close your eyes and repeat something six times over... such as "I will be relaxed...")
hope this helps in some way...
I was so nauseated for a year I lost 42 kilos (It was lucky I was a fat 92kg beforeheand) have never put the weight back on now and hardly ever have an appetite and eat about once a day.... but you have to keep going dont you??
Dont ever forget to congratulate yourself for that

could be... I get a nervous stomach alot sometimes, what helps me the most is just taking several deep breats and try to relax, if this fails lay down and start couting slowly.
