I watch both and I find Nanny 911 so rediculous compared to Super Nanny. It can be such a helpful show for understanding children's behavior problems and learning how to take control, but Nanny 911 can be so aggrevating, especially that Nanny Yavonne,she's got no personality and looks so crabby. Does anybody watch these two shows and favor one over the other? Nanny Jo on Super Nanny is very helpful and has alot of insite!

I'm a Nanny Jo fan. I'm a Early child Development major and I look to her show because she offers great advice.
Did you see the show with the family with 7 kids and the dad was getting ready to leave for Iraq? OMG! At first I thought those kids were just naturally off the hook and I thought they were getting the bad habits of fighting and swearing from the oldest sister, until Nanny Jo viewed the tapes from the cameras that were in the house. That mom was a total nutcase. She cursed out the kids, didn't clean, seldom cooked, and rarely moved from her seat on the couch. even the dad was surprised at what was on the tape because he believed what the mother was saying about the kids constantly destroying the house and not listening. Does Nanny Jo ever go back to visit these families for an update, cuz i want to know what happened with them?

I watch both sometimes.. However, I tried to watch one of the Nanny 911 last night and it didn't seem like the Nanny Yvonne was doing much good. Where were the rules for what to do when the child misbehaves? All she did was say stop the yelling, but not what to do instead. I didn't even watch it all.
I love SuperNanny, though. The ideas are always good and very helpful. I have it set to record every week so I don't miss it.

I've watched both, but i definitely prefer Super Nanny...she has great tips and it amazes me what she can do with some of those whacked out families...makes me appreciate my mom's whuppins' more lol
by the way, did anyone else hear about that crazy rumor going around that Nanny Jo was some kind of freak in the bedroom..it was a little weird hearing that at first cuz it almost seems like she shouldnt have a sex life or something but now i'm like GO Nanny Jo...get your freak on...lolol

Super Nanny is very good at what she does. I don't care for Nanny 911 as much. But I am appalled at both of the shows. How did those kids get so bad? I mean, they are awful. If I had kids who acted like that, I wouldn't want it shown on TV.

I totally agree, I dont understand how you can let your kids get to that point. I have an 8 1/2 month old little girl and even at this age there are habbit that I already have stopped her from picking up (like sleeping in our bed, being held 24/7). Having a baby/child is extremely hard work, and having friends with 2-3 year olds and also having a 2 1/2 YO nephew I understand taht disciplining them properly can be time consuming, and frustrating. But seeing kids like that, that has to be 10000% harder then putting in a slight bit of effort when they are younger and having them being well mannered, good children. It's just plain laziness on the part of the parents. But yeah I want to slap them too.

I love Nanny JoJo! Nanny 911 is awful. I don't watch Super Nanny that often though because it seems like it is often the same thing over and over.
I love how Jo wins over even the crabbiest kid.

I have watched both, and in fact find it terrifying to know that adults exactly allow children to rule the home and have no clue what they are doing. Yes, there are children with special needs, which are a true handful to endore, but that is a different thing all together.

I watch Super Nanny more often. It amazes me how easy it seems for them to totally turn those families around!

Its scary to think the parents and those children are out there! I actually have a good family for that show living near me! How can they handle all the stress they've caused by NOT disapl. their children? Its easier on everyone if you do! KIds too! and to think maybe I'm the odd parent out with that view....
