Anxiety/depression don't cause weight gain, but if you're overeating in an effort to deal with the anxiety/depression, that, of course, could do it. I would do as others recommended and have your blood checked for hormonal imbalances. They could be linked to your depression, as well. I'm in the middle of the same sort of thing right now, and my doctor ordered a complete blood count as well as thyroid/metabolic tests. Much better to get a broad picture rather than treat each symptom separately. Good luck, and, from one anxiety sufferer to another - don't worry!

Have you been on any anti-depressants? If so that could be your problem as some, not all will cause a weight gain. I don't think that much, though. Your depression and anxiety may be causing you to eat and along with anti depressants this could be the culprit. Also, have you had a complete physical within the past year, including a complete thyroid workup?. Sometimes a low thyroid causes weight gain and depression. Seek medical attention. I hope this will give you some insight.

Your medication could have caused it, but I doubt it. I have big time anxiety problems, and I take medication for it as well. I had a big weight gain over the past year or so, after having a baby, and I asked my doctor about my meds. She said that they most likely didn't have anything to do with it. My advice is to see your doctor and go for some blood work. Have your thyroid checked. That can lead to major weight gain. My problem ended up being my metabolism. Check with your doctor.

it isn't regularly some thing to be demanding about. 2-3 kilos over 5 months isn't speedy in any respect, and because you're transforming into plenty (component to puberty), you'd be gaining weight. you receives taller and once you're performed transforming into, you'll likely weigh a lot more suitable than you do now, it quite is well-known and strong. as long as you're eating healthful, you do not have any further some thing to be demanding about.

Stress will make your body retain weight, and so will working out too much, since that is another form of stress. Your body thinks it has to conserve energy (fat) because it's on a death march.
