Is there another way to get ready to be smogged?

i own a repair shop,and it actually has to be driven before it will re-set its self,i think you Can drive it around 55 and it will set its self,but it needs to be driven for at least 5 miles to do this,good luck,i hope this help,s

There is a Drive Cycle that must be completed for all of the monitors to run. The Drive Cycle for each monitor is different, but there is one Federally prescribed that will eventually set them all.
All that is required in California is that no more than 2 remain unset. If the rest are ready, the monitors will not cause Emissions Failure in California.

...and though this is a G.M. page, if you follow the procedure as close as possible, the monitors will be sufficiently ready to allow an emissions test.
This test requires that the car start with a COLD start. The computer has to see an engine temperature rise of > 60°F before it will begin to exercise monitor testing.
