i havent gotten my period since august 17th, and have had several pregnancy symptoms since then. my husband thought i may be pregnant, so i took a blood test 3 weeks ago. it was negative, but the symptoms still came. i went back to the doctors and they said i was fine. im now leaking discharge from my breast, and they have almost doubled in size ( so it seems!). i have nausea, lower back pain, food aversions, everything i had with my first pregnancy, but everything is coming out negative. any thoughts?

The blood tests are really accurate-maybe you should have the doctor check you for hormonal imbalances. If your prolactin is elevated, that would cause milk leakage, etc. Good luck!

It does sound like you might be pregnant but you took the blood test and that is 100% accurate. Something strange is going on and you need to getting further testing.. Your doctor should not be telling you that everthing is fine without doing further testing.

If this doctor will not do it then get a better doctor.. Good Luck!!!

Girl the tests might be wrong because you so sound like u are pregnant. Have you tried a home pregnancy tests? Get one of those and dont take it until u first wake up in the morning. That is the best time to get the right answer.

I know someone who was 14 weeks before she got a + test. You could be pg, or your body could be out of whack. 2 years after my last baby, I still leak occasionally. Hormones are nasty sometimes. We've been trying for almost 2 years, no luck. Though lots and lots of symptoms and late periods. Good luck.

make them do an ultrasound.....if there is no little guy in there, it does oddly enough happen that years after a pregnancy this hormone can kick in and you start producing milk....that happened to my sister....pregnancy tests look for a specific hormone, I don't know if its possible to be pregnant and not produce enough of it to show, I know with home tests, false negatives are more common than false positives....

I would take another test next week, it is possible your "level" wasn't high enough to show up. Good luck!!
