i have my research paper but i still lack some sources..i just need some info bout it from you guys..thanks

The case is Miranda v. Arizona. It is a United States Supreme Court Case which interpreted the meaning of the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, specifically, the right to remain silent clause. Miranda requires that a person who is both held in custody by the police and interrogated be advised that they have certain rights. The individual must knowingly and voluntarily waive those rights before interrogation can begin. Miranda is considered a watershed case in American law.

The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the use of involuntary statements and confessions at trial. The State bears the burden of proof in a motion to suppress a statement allegedly obtained in violation of the Miranda doctrine.

This may sound familur, as you may have heard it in some movies or in TV programs:

“YOU have the right to remain silent. If you give up that right, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney and to have an attorney present during questioning. . .”
