Neither, tampons are unhygienic as well as really bad for vaginal health, and pads are not suitable for someone with heavy flow like myself, so menstrual cups without a doubt.
Mass moodswings equate to PMS, if the women you live with do nothing to cure the problem [yes like every other menstrual problem it is perfectly preventable] then they may all get it - along with a bad attitude if they dislike their period - as women who live together menstruate together they will all get PMS at the same time as well...

Tamp when going out, at home with heavy flow pads. U can also get ultra thin ones that don't move r show to wear with tamps.
