Hey I know this one, I saw it on Dr. Phil, believe it or not!!!!!! Chewing gum helps your memory.

I think it stimulates your brain or something like that... it's supposed to help you think since you're already using your brain to tell your jaw to chew it. Studies have shown that chewing gum while taking tests help improve the actually scores. But, I'm still not sure if that's correct.

But it does keep me awake during class and also freshens my breath.

Apart from freshening your breath etc, it stimulates your saliva glands and you saliva helps fight bacteria that causes plaque.
It reduces your plaque build up during the day when your not brushing. (sugarfree gum like extra is the best thing to chew)

why do people chew gum?
to experience the taste!
why do people eat food?
to experience the taste!

In this day and age we could easilly fed every one in the world with pellets.
imagine a pellet with one full days worth of nutritional value
get up take a pellet and a glass of water
done for another 24 hours.

whats the point of smoking? at least with gum it freshens your breath

keep ur mouth busy
have good smelling breath
to tick teachers off

It can keep you from saying stupid things
It prevents idiots from actually brushing their teeth
It destroys your mandibular joint (jaw)
