there are several possibilities. I know I'm a man but I worked with many gynocologists.

A yeast infection,

change in detergent/ soaps can also cause irritation if your boy does not handle it.

Sexual intercorse can cause it

my recomendation would be to shower well, rinse well, clean with a none dyed or perfuemed soap. There are several feminine soaps on th market that are suppose to help with the PH whic can also casue irritation. Check to see if you have any yeast,.

It could be a simple as irritation from clothing that fits to tight.

Irregardless... clean well, keep hte area well ventilated and well moisturized. if it is the external labial fold you can use slave or creams that are none patroleum based to help with the chafed areas and once the swelling subsides, stop.

Just keep the area clean.

If you are sexually active and the problem persists more than a few days you should see your gynocologist...

It sounds to me like a yeast infection, but now your talking about pregnancy. And believe it or not this is consistent with pregnancy.
When your pregnant your body starts to change, especially down there, and you will be releasing a good amount of discharge. If your wearing any tight clothing you need to stop, wear panties not thongs, that irritates your vagina more, and its putting you in a vulnerable situation of actually getting an infection. If you feel your lips are very warm and so is your clitoris also place a cool rag on it and but hidricortizone or vagisil, that will help keep the swelling down and kill germs.
Try finding out if your pregnant, if you are not then you most likely have a yeast infection. Always ask your doctor what you can use, but try talking to your doctor about it.

I have to agree with the others and say that it does sound like a yeast infection. (Especially if you have a thick white discharge)This type of infection is just an imbalance of the natural yeast that all women have in their vagina's.

Wearing very tight jeans can cause it in some women, nylon panties, antibiotics, wiping from back to front instead of front to back, ... It is a very common, if uncomfortable thing.

Since you seem to have never a similar infection before, you probably should see a doctor. Assuming it is a yeast infection, you will probably have to get Canestan or Monistat. Do not take the 1-day treatment ovule! It burns like hell that one day! 3 or 7 day therapies are more soothing.

Also get yourself a copy of a good woman's body owners manual such as "Our bodies, Our Selves". It seems to me that you are not all that familiar with your own anatomy and this is important. For women to take control of their own health care and make informed decisions, they need to know.

The flabby skin is I'm assuming..... 'the lips'. Now why its swollen, is a question for Dr. Doolittle! Go check yourself out to make sure that you don't have something that might turn into more than than swollen.. I'd hate for you to take your panties off and those lips drop with it!

yeast infection go get some monistat and help cure it immediately. It could also be from not wiping in the right direction maybe use wipes until it gets better.

I agree with the yeast...do you have any itching or discharge? These may also accompany yeast.

I believe you can buy Monistat to treat this over the counter.
