Yes they were a hell of a lot bigger and then one day someone thought "I know lets cut them down to size and no-one will notice the difference".

Like the Big Mac, they got downsized. Somebody figured out if they made them smaller and sold them at the same price as before, they'd make twice as much money.
It's like those "30% free" (or whatever)shampoo bottles. They start out selling you say 12 oz. Then you see a "special" saying "30% free!" at the same price. The next time you buy, the bottle is only 8 oz at the same price as the old 12 ouncer, but you remember that "sale" and say, "Oh, yeah, that was a special offer."
It all boils down to: Make that money!

Companies became greedy and shrunk their size. Like everything else we buy, it is either poorer quality, smaller or if in a bag, is mostly filled with air!! Yes, those big wagon wheels were very nice indeed. I remember them at school.

Its called shrinkage, companies do it when their overheads rise, instead of hiking the price up too high, they add a little to the price and take a bit from the product.
It happens to all products from chocolate bars to washing powder to tins of pet food.
But the companies forget to put that in their adverts don't they!!

Sheer greed by by the varius companies.They have reduced
literally everything,have you noticed they never reduce the PRICE though?Has anybody seen the size of a topic bar lately?

Same as Hula Hoops. I could fit them on my fingers like rings when I was a kid. They don't go anywhere near now. It's a fooking government conspiracy to starve us to death. I just eat twice as much of everything now. Up yours Blair!

Know what you mean mate. I remember putting hula hoops on each and everyone of my little fingers as a kid and enjoying eating them. Did they shrink too or did I grow up?

Company shrunk them. Same as Mars bars. The reason they shrunk Mars Bars was to make them appeal more to women. ¬_¬

dont know but the same thing happend to me. my kitchen used to tower over me now its shrunk. unless the borrowers have been nicking the wood from the bottom of the units.
