ask your doctor, There is no doctors here why trust a novice behind a computer screen spewing trash to make points, This is about a UN-born life not a answer forum.

My aunt used to smoke crack and she got pregnant. As soon as she found out it took her till her second trimester to stop, because she went into rehab, but anyways....Her baby was perfectly healthy. Even though they say brain damage and ADD and all this other stuff can happen to your baby(not saying it wont), but just saying, it doesn't happen to everybody. Maybe you will get lucky and your baby will be perfectly healthy. Just dont do it at all! I am very happy that you quit as soon as you found out though. But you wont find out until she/he is born. Or unless they find a problem in an ultrasound. Also, if you are concerned about it, you can talk to your doctor. You have doctor patient privilage. They are not allowed to release any info even about drugs, unless say, you were still doing them! But if you quit and you are nervous about the outcome from the seven weeks of unknown pregnancy then let them know, and they can talk to you! DOnt be afraid to ask questions....That is what they are there for!

I hope everything is fine with your baby and I wish you best of luck. Also, if you wanna be a good mom, I suggest you dont do it anymore PERIOD...even after the baby arrives. But you never know...A baby changes everything!

Good Luck

You did the right thing by quitting as soon as you found out. Most likely it was too early to cause damage, I dont' know the effects of what is left in your system, though. Now that you've got a little one on the way, NEVER go back. Your baby deserves YOU, not a weeded version of yourself. Congrats and Good Luck.

I currently talked to my doctor about this and she said that studies are showing now that weed is more harmful to the baby during the early months of pregnancy than in later times because the first few months is when the baby does the most developing and growing.

Ok, first of all they count your weeks beginning with the first day of your last period, so you have only actually been pregnant for 6 weeks. My cousin smoked during her whole pregnancy and her baby seemed fine, but now she has a slight developmental delay. My mother did drugs with all of her children and it caused various problems. If you didn't smoke but maybe a joint every week or maybe a little more everything should be ok for now, but you need to stop and do not continue after you have the baby. Being that you stopped when you did, your baby should be fine so long as you do not smoke any more.

I'm sure you'll be okay. As long as the weed you smoke wasn't laced with anything, I really don't think that it is as bad a cigarettes. Just don't smoke anymore.

My friend smoked pot the whole way through her pregnancy, and my mother in law's OB actually recomended that she smoke a little bit everyday with her first pregancy (but that was 22 years ago).

Both of their babies turned out perfectly fine, but why risk it?

I have read some of the answers and they are just mainly going to scare the **** outta you, There can be affects if it is done throughout the entirer pregnancy but I know many babys born and the baby is fine specially as you are only in the very early stages, I think you shuold wait and see at your 18-20 week ultrasound they will be able to tell you if your baby has many things wrong, you should google weed during pregnancy yourself to put your mind at ease as they will tell you all the differant things you need to know. I wouldnt worry to much just stay away while pregnant and breastfeeding as your baby gets everything you have in your body.

Dont stress to much im sure everything will be fine.

Yes research shows it can give your child ADD. But since you stopped I wouldn't worry too much. Your baby should be fine.

weed is a drug ! so if you take it the baby is getting a hit as well . baby could later on in life be very resaptable to doing drugs and coming hooked on it , due to the fact that the baby has aready been around it so to say .

Your baby will have time to go threw withdawls by the time it is born....but as far as damage...babies can sense everything the mother is feeling....so...get happy and stay clean...while there is still time
