Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change > adjust as needed. You can not purchase Virtual Memory, it is memory that resides on your hard drive.

Do what jibberjabar said, that will increase your virtual memory. Also, putting more RAM in your system can also help, especially if your computer is slow. If you don't have enough RAM, your system depends too much on virtual memory.

Buy more physical RAM first. Virtual memory is hard disk space the computer uses when it “runs out” of physical memory. It’s slow, and greatly reduces a computer’s overall performance.

To change your VM settings right-click on “My Computer” -> Properties -> Advanced -> Under “Performance” click settings -> Advanced tab -> VM settings are on the bottom.

The virtual memory is managed by windows,by dafault. This can be manually set ,based on your requirement. The option is available under My computer>properties>advanced>Performance>settings>
performance options>advanced.

If you have free hard disk space, you can assign as much space as you want.

click start, control panel, system, advance tab, click performance settings, advanced tab again and try changing your virtual settings. you can also let windows choose the best setting for performance.

If that don't work download CCleaner program to flush your system.
