My brother wants to know what pokemon can you choose to be. I hope there is a fair amount to choose from!

in the beginning, the first time u play, there will be a quiz of some sort. answer the questions and u get ur main pokemon. the starters are pikachu, cubone, skitty, bulbasaur, mudkip, torchic, charmaner, squirtle, chikorita, treeko, totadile, phsyduck, meouth, machop, and eevee. you urself dont really choose the pokemon u want to be, its based on personality, though u can pich ur partner. i myself am a mudkip and my partner is torchic ^^.

I am not 100% sure, but all I know is Pikachu, Squirtle, Mudkip, Torchik, Bulbasar, Charmander, and Treeko. You have to take a personality test to choose which pokemon you are. But you do get to choose your partner.

you got to create ur own charater as you play u get to unlock new pokemon like picachu,for example u can find him by doing missions like killing bolbasoured 4 times without losing
