I'm afraid that our country is going to have to pay a huge price for the very very bad decision to start a war in Iraq.
We are going to learn the price of foolish political choices and apathy.
Either we commit to fixing this mess we are in. Which I believe at the very least means 300,000 more boots on the ground. Or, we deal with the consequences of anarchy and and fanatical religious zealotry spewing out of that region for generations to come

Nobody sends their kids to war. It's a volunteer service. If they join then one day they might have to go fight, they all know that when they sign up!

I do not have kids to send to to Iraq, but I sure wish I was young enough to go myself.

Actually, it would have to be the decision of the child if he wants to go or not. I don't think I should enforce my child to not go. However, if my child asks how I felt, I would tell him/her this war is for business only, not for terrorism, freedom, or for the Iraqis. This is a Halburton war to put money in cheney, bush, and other's pockets. The Soldiers are being used...

We're going to send you with no clothes on and with no weapons to the front lines of battle. After all, guns are bad, right?

Not up to me. I have no right to send or to prohibit my children (Adult Children) from going wherever they want. If I did, then they wouldn't be eligible for military service in the first place.

No way. Thank God my sons are too old now to go. One of my sons was in the service but at the time there was no war going on.

been there twice. If my son or daughter said they were joining the service, i would wish them good luck and pray for them to do their duty. If it takes them to Iraq...so be it. We know our hazards.

They are free to go if they want to.It is up to them.
They didn't spend their childhood being taught how to hate America like you obviously have.
