Well everyone is different. Some couples are evenly matched (like Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt -- both 10's) others are mismatched as far as attractiveness goes. This could be because beautiful people are not always shallow & could fall for someone's inner beauty, or maybe the beautiful ones don't want competition & prefer to be in the spotlight, so they want a plain partner to hide in their shadow? Who knows?

I've been told I'm a 10 & I've dated people who were 5's & people who were 10's. A lot of things can make a person attractive aside from their looks. The sound of their voice, the way they smell, the way they feel, their personality, their sense of humour. A person can be sexy without being conventionally attractive. Love is supposed to be blind, right?

What the heck does math have to do with two people who are compatible in most ways but ones outside appearance is better looking than the others? I've seen many couples who do not match on the good looks scale and are very happy with each other.

If the scale is shallow.. The person considered an 8 would only be with a person considered a 10.5. So in lamens terms that person would be alone forever unless he finds himself a really good looking whore.

My question to you would be" Should someone who is an eight on the intelligence scale be with a person is a two or less on the same scale?" Your ranking is indicated by the fact that you cannot formulate a sentence that clearly conveys what you mean to ask?

the only thing i can gather from your question is something referred to as the 'ladder theory'... which, as far as i'm concerned, makes some humorous sense... but nothing too 'proven' by way of any actual evidence.

as for your question, its really hard to understand exactly what you are asking. i suppose i'd wonder how anyone would be 'graded' -- what basis of comparison each individual would compare against BEFORE i'd concern myself with if it were actually mathematically possible.

now someone else who has read my answer... come along and say just what i said (but in a more refined way) so you come across as brilliant.

*grin*

every one has their types. i always see theses real prety nice girls with these not to good looin scoumbages of a guy, some how guys always need the girl to be perfect. i know what i mean?
anyways back to your question there isn't really a good answer to that because one person could look real good to anouther but not to his friend, or some one might be really good looking but know one will be with them because their just not as good on the in side as they might seem on the in. so as long as you like eacher their looks wont matter... i hope.
i mean really what if you marry the hottest girl in high school and then she loses all her hair and good looks and you guys can't even be friends.
P.S. Think about it.

It depends on whose scale you are going by. Forget the math. It's all about smell, that's right smell. I believe it is called pheromones.

If these two people have intelligence and compassion, it doesn't make a darned bit of difference who is better looking, or if "either" of them are.

Looks isn't what makes a good relationship. what you heard is wrong...if you go by the scale you are wrong..
