A disgraced nation

What the U.S. Congress has done is beyond shameful. The rest of the world now sees the United States as a rogue nation, led by a power-grabbing madman who has, in six short years, taken us to the threshold of Police State tyranny, all while claiming to be protecting the Constitution.

Called the Military Commissions Act of 2006, the bill abandons the Geneva Convention (formed after Hitler's atrocities in WWII), legalizes the torture of U.S. citizens, suspends all civil rights for prisoners and allows the President to declare virtually anyone to be an "enemy combatant" -- artists, writers, scientists, protestors or anyone who does not agree with the pro-war stance of the current regime.

The New World Order fascist police state is coming. And worst of all, I get the hopeless feeling that there is no possible means of stopping it.

I'm with you on the micro-chipping thing. I'm very much against it. Feel free to call me paranoid, but I am not an animal to be tracked and controlled. I do not, however, think the microchip thing will come in a year, and I don't think our freedoms will be gone. Surely we're not all that stupid to allow it to come to that. Surely we will rise up if need be. People have done it in the past. Surely we will do it again in the future.

The spiritual and economic damage done in the last 6 years is mind boggling. And it could get a hell of a lot worse -- I sense a civilization in decline, the apathy baffles me. The Press, Public, and Democrats have not given reason for hope.
And now we're going to build a fence.

I fail to see where you have listed even one right you have lost under these new laws. All you ever post is BS and hyperbole. Typical DNC halftruths, smoke and mirror nonsense. Please refer to me, just 1, 1 right you have lost. You can't becasue you haven't.
Now do us a favor and shut the hell up.

I am sorry I do not agree with your stance but that is what happens in a free country we can all disagree and still live in peace.

Peace out man.

This is the third moronic rant I've seen from you tonight. If you hate this country so much... GET THE HELL OUT!! The only disgrace to this country are the moronic, radical leftist socialists such as yourself. PLEASE move to Iran or Cuba, or any place but here.

When was the last time you were slammed up against a wall and asked for your papers? My guess is never. Until that happens, quit your childish whining.

I guess we had better hope for a democratic majority in congress after November to put this evil dictator in check. I am 60 and have seen freedom erode of the last 40 years but never at a pace that it is on now.
