Undoubtedly, you wouldn't be able to define what a "lefty" is. Fortunately, educated people have time to think about many things. Maybe you define "thinkers" as lefties-- if so, you are stereotyping people.

George Bush, "the decider", said months ago that bin Laden wasn't a priority. Why don't you ask him whether he hates bin Laden and if so, why did he decide to not go after him and to go after Iraq instead where young American soldiers are being killed by the scores every day. Thinkers are concerned about a war that is killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people. Thinkers are wondering why George Bush encouraged Israel to bomb Lebanon people and reduce that country to rubble. Those are only a couple of things "thinkers" are wondering about.

You present no evidence that most muslims protect bin Laden. Perhaps you are a bigot? In that case, your question doesn't deserve an answer. Think about that .

This goes back to the war when Russia invaded the Middle East in the early 70's late 60's. We helped the Middle East because we both had a common enemy of Communism. Communism promotes a God-less religion, not really a religion, so the Muslims started a Jihad, religious war, against Russia. When that war ended, 1 million muslims were left dead, even though the Soviets lost. We, the US, got out as soon as it was over. This began the hatred for Americans over there when we could have helped repair.

Bin-Laden was the hero of this war and so the love of him grew. In the Gulf war, we came in and trampled all over Saudi Arabia to push out Saddem of Kuwait while Saudi Arabia had the choice between Bin Laden's rag tag group or the rich, technically advanced Americans. Saudi Arabia chose U.S. This angred Bin Laden because Saudi Arabia is the site of the land where profits once walked.

You see, Bin Laden wasn't such a bad person untill he made soldiers, don't look at it as terrorists, to attack the U.S. and it's Allies. He became bad to us in a threatening way around the time of the Gulf War. For only 25 years at tops has people attacked the U.S. directly for Bin Laden.

Not too many people on the right are happy with Bush either. I think as a nation (being honest) we all dislike Bin Laden. It just seems we can't do anything about him right now. But Bush we can do alot about. We just have not. But thats why the left talks about Bush more than Bin Laden. Oh and the left have no plan for Bin Laden so they can't talk

There is one glaring difference between the records released in 2000 and those he released in 2004. A name had been blacked out. In 1972, two airmen were suspended for failing to take their medical examination. One was George W. Bush and the other was James R. Bath.

“I, Salem M. Binladen, do hereby vest unto James Reynolds Bath, 2330 Bellefontaine, Houston, Texas, full and absolute authority to act on my behalf in all matters relating to the business and operation of Binladen-Houston offices in Houston, Texas.” Notarized Trust Agreement, Harris County, Texas, July 8, 1976.

“Sometime around 1974… Bath was trying to sell a F-27 turboprop, a sluggish medium-range plane that was not exactly a hot ticket in those days, when he received a phone call that changed his life. The voice no the other end belonged to Salem bin Laden… Bath not only had a buyer for a plane no one else seemed to want, he had also stumbled upon a source of wealth and power that was certain to pique the interest of even the brashest Texas oil baron.”

“In a copy of the record released by the National Guard in 2000, the man in question, James R. Bath, was listed as being suspended from flying for the National Guard in 1972 for failing to take a medical exam next to a similar listing for Mr. Bush. It has been widely reported that the two were friends and that Mr. Bath invested in Mr. Bush's first major business venture, Arbusto Energy, in the late 1970's after Mr. Bath began working for Salem bin Laden.”

Things that make ya go hmmmm:
Carlyle Group was holding its annual investor conference on the morning of September 11th in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C. At that meeting were all of the Carlyle regulars, James Baker, likely John Major, definitely George H. W. Bush, though he left the morning of September 11th. Shafiq bin Ladin, who is Osama bin Laden’s half-brother, and was in town to look after his family’s investments in the Carlyle Group. All of them, together in one room, watching as the uh the planes hit the towers.”

They are both from an oil family. That's why the bin Laden family was flown out of the US on 9 / 12 when all other flights were grounded. Maybe you should get your facts straight and realize who the bad guys really are. Hint, it's not the "lefty"...

Bin Laden has been rejected by most if not all Arab states. Hated by Al-Qadhafi, Sauis stripped him of his citizenship. Hating Mr Bush is all to easy, refusing the secret/special court set up for wiretapping warrants and making the McCain bill unconstitutional with his signing statements; then have to spend a couple weeks rewriting those bills, apt to raise anybodies ire.

Hating Bin Laden and despising Bush are not mutually exclusive.

But the power-mad idiot has more of an immediate negative impact upon my country than the fanatical murderer hiding in the cave. The costly disaster in Iraq is just more of the Neocon conspiracy to destroy America...

The muslims that literally interpret the Koran support Osama bin Laden because he is promoting the book exactly as it is written. He quotes it. He reads it. He calls out those who don't follow its exact words. These folks want to form a Caliphate in the Middle East first and then the world. The caliph (successor to Mohammed) would institute Sharia Law (Islamic Law). Their way is Jihad (Islamic Holy War). They believe there is no other way, no other God, no other prophet.

If you believe otherwise, then welcome to the fight.

I'm a liberal and the MAIN problem I have with Bush is that HE'S NOT GOING AFTER BIN LADEN...

why is that?

when Bush STARTS to care about Bin Laden... then you can start talking about other people who don't care... but until then, you're a hypocrite if you talk about others not caring about Bin Laden...
