Why is it that I hear so many people regurgitating phrases of the administration? For example, “Cut and Run,” and “Stay the course,” and all the others. Why do people use these phrases like they actually mean something? Don’t they know these are just catch phrases used to sucker people into believing what the administration says? Why don’t people think for themselves?

I don't hear too many liberals saying "think for your self." How would thinking for oneself be considered controlling? I would say that the world would be in a much better place if people weren't so apathetic.

That is precisely my point. “Stay the course,” only means something if a course has been laid out

How am I trash talking America? I always thought that trash talk meant to speak untruths in a hostile manner. When have I done that?

These catch phrases are easy to remember, and people don't like to think fore themselves. It's so much easier to let somebody do their thinking for them. And if it goes wrong they don't have to blame themselves!!

Both side can be accused of that. It would be nice if both sides would offer a thought out plan. To redeploy gives those that wish to stir the pot more time to act then melt into the wood work.

If you had a gang in your neighborhood in Los Angeles, Would you wish to have to call the cops in San Francisco? That is about what the Deocrats are offering. Granted with stay the course doesn't say what winning the peace looks like either.

Democrats are guilty of using catch phrases also, only difference I can see is the democratic catch phrases are not costiing lives in Iraq based on a lie. We really need to get out now before any more lives are lost in a lost cause based on a lie.

Normal English phrases no longer make sense to you because they were said by a politician?

the ironic thing is, about everything you said outside of quotations is also. Like "thinking for themselves" another catch phrase for control. You may not believe me, but i could care less.

Ha. Think for yourself is a liberal catch phrase? Do you really think this? Incredible. Indefensible. Ridiculous.

As opposed to "Bush lied", or "He played on our fears", or "It's a quagmire". Sure. Whatever you say....
