Minas Gerais is a safe place, but you have to be careful.
I have been robbed in Paris, but that's considered a safe place.
You can buy medcines over the counter. Maleria is not a problem in Minas Gerais. But please take mostiquo repellent. They can bite and give Dengue Fever.!
