I got my belly button pierced like a month ago. How do i know when im able to change it to another ring.?

Wait atleast 6 months. I thought mine was healed before that and it got infected. It's hard to wait... but worth it.

I also have my belly button pierced, and I waited six weeks before I changed it. Even then, it was a little sore and hurt some. But as long as you keep it and the jewelery you put in cleaned, then it should be ready in a couple more weeks. Good Luck.

You aren't supposed to change the jewelry til the piercing is completely healed. It takes 6 to 8 months for a navel piercing to heal.

i got a piercing in another part of my body and the guy told me to go back if i had any problems, and after two weeks, then one month, two months and six months after the piercing was done, to check how the healing was going on, and he said he'd tell me when it was ok to change the jewelry, during one of those appointments.

I got mine done and when I went back to let them check it they told me that they recommended that you wait at lest 8 weeks. They told me that although they look and feel healed they may not be and changing them could irritate them and cause an infection. I just got to change mine and it still hurts and it has been 10 weeks.

you're supposed to wait a little while longer, but what i id was put alot of neosporison on the bar of the new ring and sone on my bellybutton and then i pulled hte old one out and quickly put the new one in :) hop eit works for you.. i did it 2 weeks after i got mine pierced :)

ahh try 6months*to*a year.....if u change it before its healed it could become infected.
