My daughter did the same thing in our brand new house on our brand new carpet. I bought some Oxyclean. I put 3 scoops into a gallon container with the hottest water from my tap and mixed it until the Oxyclean disolved. I then poured the mixture over the Kool-Aid, scrubbed it in, let it set for 30 minutes or so, and then blotted with a clean, dry towel. This worked for me! I have also gotten DARK purple fingernail polish out of our carpet using the same method! Good Luck!

Try oxyclean carpet and upholstery cleaner. It's easier than the mixture b/c you just have to spray it on, let it sit on there a few minutes and rub it up. My son did the same thing and didn't tell me about it. I found the stain while packing for a move and that stain had been there about 6 months and this stuff took it up in less than 5 minutes without having to scrub or messing up the carpet. (wish I'd known about this product before!LOL)

Oxyclean is crap. You don't need a professional either. Go to your local hardware store. They should have a product called Folex instant carpet spot remover. With a little elbow grease it'll take out just about anything. Resolve is also a good product. If you can't find either of these go to the nearest motel and ask them to help you, they know how to deal with these problems.

Take the Oxyclean and hot water mixture and spritz it on the stain, rubbing gently. Do not soak the carpet too much--you can ruin the padding underneath with too much water--keep blotting it with clean towels.
Should be OK

PetSmart sells a product called Simple Solution that takes stains and pet odors out of carpets. It took red wine out of my new couch. Try it.

Hope this helps Good Luck !
Carpets/Upholstery:
1) A great non-toxic carpet stain remover is club soda. Soak spot immediately with soda and blot until the stain is gone.
2) Pet Urine on Carpets: Dab area with toweling to absorb as much as possible, wash spot with liquid dish detergent, and rinse with 1/2 cup vinegar diluted in 1 qt warm water. Lay towels or paper towels over the spot and weight down to absorb excess moisture. Let stand 4 to 6 hours, then remove toweling, brush up nap and allow to dry completely. Use an electric fan to speed drying.
3) Red wine stains can be removed from carpet by rubbing baking soda in and vacuuming.
4) Sprinkle cornstarch onto carpet, vacuum.
5) To remove grease spots from carpets, first sop up the liquid with a sponge, then rub a liberal amount of baking soda into the spot. Let it absorb overnight. Next day, remove the excess and vacuum the area.
6) To remove grease spots from carpets, first absorb excess with a sponge, then rub a liberal amount of corn starch into the spot. Let sit overnight, then vacuum.
7) Dry cornstarch sprinkled on rug and vacuumed.

GOOF-OFF!!! I love the stuff, it will remove almost anything and is safe to use on MOST surfaces. Goo-gone may work but is a citrus based cleaner and is not nearly as strong, whereas Goof-off is a solvent based cleaner (xylene to be specific) and is much more effective. Be careful, using Goof-off without proper ventilation for long periods of time will get you high (and may make you sick or cause health problems).
