Basically, the spiders most people find in the bath are male spiders who have been out looking for a mate. They have to wander around a lot for that, so the chances of them getting in the tub are pretty good. They can get in by climbing the walls or curtains, and falling in. Once they are in the tub, they can't get out because the walls are too slippery and steep. So they are stuck for you to find. The reason you see them there more than other places is that they can't leave or hid when you come into the room.

If we took our showers near the corner of the ceiling, we'd be asking the same question. They roam all over, and when they get into a tub, the slippery surface makes it hard for them to crawl out. So they are usually found there. Do them a favor. Capture them in a small paper cup. Take the cup upside down and just place it over the spider trapping him inside. Slide the cup (with spider inside) onto a piece of thick paper. Hold the cup to the paper to keep the spider in, walk outside and shake him out. Have fun.

They're get everywhere, I'm afraid... look behide you!

However, every where apart from the bath they tend to hide or be camoflaged though. You seem to find spiders in the bath as they can't get a grip on the smooth surface to climb out and are stuck there 'til you find them.

The bath acts as a trap because of its smooth surface. Spiders and insects can also be attracted to the moisture (humidity) and dark spaces in general in bathrooms.

Because they cant get back out, due to the smooth surface. leave a towel or something hanging into the bath and they can climb out that way.

I run a bathtub - yet could be extremely careful to maintain a watch on it. at the same time as multi-tasking I honestly have oftentimes in basic terms basically controlled to seize it till now it over - runs. It does sound posh to entice a bathtub nevertheless - if I asked my daughter to entice a bathtub that's precisely what she might do in her caricature e book!

They're after water and they know it's the best way to get it and scare you in the process.
