I believe this to be a worth while journey. To explore and to meet people along the way and to be able to tell their stories as well.
I am also interested in meeting individuals with the same "wanderlust" as it has been called, to accompany me on this journey. wether by tracking it or helping to document it or if at some point you are able to go with me for a time or the whole way. Great Idea, but from a truck driver who has been all over. BE CAREFUL and tell someone where your at all times. Now, for good places: anywhere along I40 is awesome. And old RT 66 in the western states too. If you take pictures, be sure to post them for others. Have fun.

Good for you, if you have the opportunity I say go for it. I traveled across country in 1979, I hitchhiked across country for a year, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I met some really great people along the way. I don't know about doing it now, it is a much different world out there now. Have a great time, hope you find yourself. I did it for a experience that I thought i would never be able to duplicate and haven't. i was much younger that 27 at the time and my friends thought i was crazy, it was one of the best experiences of my life, if i could do it all again i would in a minute. i would suggest however, that you have a travel companion that you know, not someone you meet along the way or on the Internet, that could be very dangerous. Have fun... and be safe. Advertising for a travel partner or someone to meet up with "out there" is pretty dangerous these days, especially on the internet. Why don't you get a friend or a friend of the family to go with you? Someone you know and whose family knows you and who you can trust.... if you "want to help people out there", get involved in a church group or a charitable organization like foodbanks, etc. that way you will see the benefits and results of your dedication... just be careful with people on the internet. there are some people out there who aren't as caring and willing to help as you are - they are dangerous and may want to hurt you.

solid for you! do no longer permit everybody discourage you. I return and forth all over the area as a 25-365 days-old and locate it impressive the folk I meet, the attractions I see, and the thoughts I acquire. I do it because of the fact it makes me satisfied, and that i overlook relating to the those that ask the damaging questions which includes the place the money comes from, why am I going to show B quite of factor A - even if. this could be a useful journey for you and you'd be proud! solid success!!!
