I would play the Bears every week unless they are facing a particularly bad matchup like the Colts, or the Chargers have juicy matchup with some punchless team like the Texans. This week, the Chargers draw Pittsburgh (tough matchup) while the Bears get hapless Buffalo. Advantage Bears.
So far this season, Chicago's defense has scored almost double the fantasy points of San Diego (under most scoring systems) While the Chargers have allowed 21 points to the Bears 23, the Chargers had a week 3 bye. In 3 of 4 games played, the Bears have held opposing teams to 10 points or less.
From a purely football standpoint, the Bears have the advantage of playing in the NFC North against weaker competition. The Chargers get two dates vs Denver and KC, while the Bears get Green Bay and Minnesota. Both teams get a couple of doormats in the Lions and Raiders, so that evens out. What it comes down to is the Bears have an experienced secondary and force a lot more turnovers. The Chargers front seven is as good as any in the NFL, but the secondary is merely good, not great. Antonio Cromartie is still a ROOKIE, and as Steve McNair showed last week, still learning the NFL game.

Definately use the Bears!!!! They are one of the premier defenses in the league and also have a much weaker opponent this week than the Chargers do.

Definately the Bears. They are the top defense this year. Start them every week and you will be successful on defense all year.

If you have Chicago's defense on your team, there really is no reason why you would ever bench them (except on a bye week, of course). They're arguably the best team-defense in the league right now and fun to watch!

Bears D is going to have a much better day with Buff. than SD will have with Pitt.
