DRINK A TON OF CRANBERRY JUICE!!
Urinary tract infections kind of burn when you urinate. I hated it when I had that.
Drinking cranberry juice made me have to go to the bathroom ALOT.
Eat plenty of fiber and drink a lot of cranberry juice.

I had a kidney infection which I think starts with a UTI or is similiar but I am not sure. Basically there was nothing I could do to feel better. I was miserable and then I had an allergic reaction to the sulfa in the medication which made my entire body itch non stop. I couldnt sleep and as it was some kind of reaction scratching wasnt even soothing, lol. Dr said stop taking pills and take the chance of kidney infection not being completely taken care of or continue the meds for almost another week and deal with the reaction... I just had to keep taking it and deal with it.

You said your being treated so I guess that means your on antibiotics. Well I have had 3 and the only thing that relieved the pain for a little while was a hot bath. Other than that to speed up the process: no cokes, caffeine, drink lots of water to flush out the bacteria, drink cranberry juice. And monistat (URISTAT) makes these pills that numb your urethra that help but they make your urine orange (I'm sure you would rather have that than UTI PAIN).

I used to get them a lot when I was little. The best thing is to drink lots and lots of water and cranberry juice. Also, make sure you use the bathroom frequently. Urinary infections make it hard to tell when you do really need to go, since you constantly feel that way. Make sure to empty your bladder frequently and drink lots of fluids.

Drink tons of water. Take cranberry capsules that you can get in the health food store (at least 2/day) Go by the directions. Try not to eat a diet high in protein for a couple of days. You may need antibiotic treatment and a urine test recheck.

Drink a lot of water, cranberry juice, etc and it helped me to lay down with an ice pack over the area where it hurt/ached. Drinking lots of fluids is the best medicine, it helps to flush out the bug.

If you're already on antibiotics, cranberry juice can help. Cranberry protein blocks e coli from binding your urinary tract.

there is a medication called Uristat, you can get it without a prescription and drink lots and lots of water to be sure it doesn't turn into a kidney infection.
