I'm asking this for a friend of mine because she thinks she is pregnant but hasn't taken the test yet. She told the only possible father and he got mad at her, and now refuses to talk to her.

I'd feel a little uneasy about my wife being so secretive. If I was faced with that situation I would want to be made aware of at least the possibility that there may be a child on the way.

No. If it is not a planned pregnancy, it could create undue stress for the guy.
And if the results are negative, chances are -- their relationship will never be the same. If the results are negative, it should be a wake up call for everyone -- use protection or do not do anything. Really.
Maybe your friend needs some counseling -- she needs to be real about this. A baby is not just a passing phase -- a child requires unselfish people who love him/her, not two people who refuse to accept responsibility or a mother who is suddenly overwhelmed with the reality that the father does not really love her and now she is going to have to fight just to get him to admit he is the father.

Well..... if hes the only one then she should tell him. If she is not telling the truth and there is more then one man she should probably either let them each know about the chance or just wait untill a DNA test can be performed on both men.

She should've waited to take the test first and then if it was positive she should have told him. But in a way it's good because now she sees how he really is.

Um no! Some guys (if your not married) will feel that your doing/saying it to keep him around. Take the test first and make sure before freaking the guy out.

He should not be mad it takes 2 to tango and when you do you assume risk of pregnancy.
But I do agree that she should not have told him because girl's tend to freak out easily especially around the time of the month that you would be expecting a period.

I think she should take the test first. No need for two of them to stress over this until an answer is reached.

well, no she shouldnt tell him if thats how he is going to react. She should do the test privately and if it is a positive for sure she will have to tell him later when she knows 100%

yes i think so just tell him that you may be pregnant then the 2 of you can take the test together to see what it says( i know you said your friend sorry )

No always wait to know for sure so you don't make a big stink about anything that isn't there. You never want to get any ones hopes up just to find out that its not true. So it is always best to know for sure.
