My sister and I went to Emerald Island in NC but that was 6 years ago and I don't know if everything was blown away by hurricanes or not and rebuilt. When we were there it hurricaned 3 hours after we left but before that it was cheap to stay on Ocean front beach for $69/night with kitchen, hot tub. There were alot of shops and restaurants and little bars and the beach was absolutely beautiful.

You can watch the 7-11 close for the night or watch the donuts rise at the bakery. For the grand finale, watch them role up the streets at 8 PM every night Have a fun time and don't worry about getting too wild and out of control---they don't do wild in Charlotte......

Try the Mint museum or Discovery Place. There is also an antique show on the second weekend of every month. You can also check the Merchandise Mart to see what they are having the time you want to visit, I love the Southern Living shows that they have.

buy her a ticket to see the Chippendale dancers at a local club she will love it. Just joking with you, I could not resist it as a friend of mine did this and his mother did enjoy it with her friends out on the town.
