I need something real nice that's eventually wearable on more than one occasion. What would you recommend? It can be up to $400.

Thanks.

You heard of the little black dress... strapless maybe.../ long and slinky... it doesn't have to be black but I would do some color tha is bizzarr... with a black dress being seductiove and simple leaves you to be able to dress it up with jewelry and other accessories...

It is said for every woman to have one main piece of clothing in her closet "The Little Black Dress". Simple and can be played up though, or played down as well. Pick one that is comfortable, sexy, but not too revealing and has a soft fabric. You can wear that anywhere if accessorized appropriately.

There are plenty of places (large department stores, small boutiques, etc) that have cocktail dresses. A cocktail dress is good for a nice occasion for all seasons and you can wear it several times by changing the accessories.

I think you should get a mid length black cocktail dress. Go to nordstrom.com, they have lots of great dresses. If you get a mid lenght dress you will be able to wear it many times and many years.

try bloomingdales, it has dresses. you should wear like a back dress with black heels, and one of those big red belts from like bebe, with a mathcing red bag. that will look really pretty. by the way, bebe has skirts and pretty shirts too.
