Why is it wrong to question homosexuality?

It has not been proven to be natural or biological. it could very well be a mental disorder...Why do we consider this notion clase closed. Pedophiles are known as mentally ill people. A lot of people that consider thmselves gay or bisexual have a history of sexual abuse...this is a fact....and why is it a fad for girls to be bisexual. I heard something like 35% of girls 18-21 consider themselves bisexual in US colleges

Of course people will get upset when you say that, you're calling honest working people sick because of their sexual preference. And you're equating consensual, adult homosexual sex with illegal, underage abuse. You're simply ignorant.

You're perfectly free to hold that opinion, but don't expect to garner much sympathy when they run you out of town.

*sigh* Its always those who know nothing about homosexuality tend to have a problem with it.
Most psychologists (APA) find nothing wrong with homosexuality, and why would they, they've studied it and understand it.
Studies show homosexuality to be quite natural in that it occurs in animal species besides humans (do you suppose they chose too?) - Look it up, its not hard to find.
Your "fact" about homosexuals being the result of sexual abuse has been proven.... TO NOT BE TRUE!!!!! Again, it was studied and homosexuals do NOT have a history of sexual abuse.
As for the fad thing, well much of the youth of this nation are growing to be more tolerant - the intolerance of homosexuality will soon be viewed to be as "backward" as we now view the intolerance of race or ethnicity.
As for the bible stuff, sorry but science and religion are on opposite sides here... and between the two I tend to go with what can be SHOWN to be true rather that what SOME people BELIEVE to be true!!!!

Questioning is a great thing. You should never just take something for face value. You should never believe something because you heard it on TV.

Some say that it is proven to be natural while others have proven it not. The problem with research is that it is easy to design and experiment to have the outcomes that you are looking for.

To some degree or another, we all are mental cases. What is normal? Who gets to determine what is normal and why do we believe them?

People who abuse children are disgusting. Children are too young and easily manipulated. Pedophiles and homosexuals should not be compared. I know plenty of heterosexual who have abused children.

Sex among youngsters have become more and more exploitative. They are willing to engage in a wide variety of sexual behaviors for their own personal enjoyment and acceptance.

Question for yourself but do not think that it is okay for everyone else to think what you think. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on what they believe.

If it hasn't been proven to be natural or biological, how would you explain it being a mental disorder? Mental disorders are biological.

If you insist it's psychosomatic and inflicted via emotional trauma from abuse, how do you explain the bisexuality in the college girls who weren't abused?

First off PEDOPHILES have disgusting sex with helpless kids who can not defend themselves they also stalk their pray before they attack them being that this just happened to my child I DON'T put such an animal in the same category........knowing many gays some are victims of abuse yes not 90% that is for sure ... and they are not child molesters .... I really don't think it is a mental illness I believe that is something made up by small minded people because there is no exact! reason so lets add another reason that people can agree on "oh yes they are crazy queers, we've been tell you that all along" I don't believe it.

sex only made for reproduction. so this always exists between opposite sex.

Brave question. I think we have been bombarded with homosexuality for so long we are expected to be OK with it. I'm not OK with it, it is NOT normal. However, I will not force my disdain for it on anyone because it is not helpful, and it does not promote good-will, betterment of society or anything else of any good. Therefore I live and let live. Just don't expect me to "happy for you because you found a same-sex partner" I'm actually sad for you.
As you can clearly see from your responses, people believe that nothing can be questioned. Look at US foreign policy. "You are with us or against us". No one DARED raise the question of why? Like you have. In summary, good for you for asking... keep asking!!

i believe that we label mentally ill people as those who are at great risk of causing physical and emotional harm to others as well as themselves. gays and lesbians aren't at risk of causing harm to anyone, so they're not mentally ill by definition. personally, i love gay guys, they're always so much more fun than straight ones. as far as more girls being bisexual, i believe a large part of it is just due to this notion from girls that guys like two girls being sexual together, so more girls are doing this to get the guys. also, girls are growing older and discovering new things about themselves.
