there are 2 ways to do this:
1) Actually do all the multiplication. Enjoy yourself.
2) Use logs (base 10)
2^31921, take the loog & get:
31921log(2)=9609.1785

10^9309.1785=1.508*10^9609 so the answer has 9610 digits since for 10^0 there is still a 1 digit answer. Glad I didn't try to work this out longhand!

I think the answer should be the integer part of
(31921 * log 2 + 1) = 9610

It's ceiling( log_10 ( 2^31921 ) )
= ceiling( 31921 log_10 2 )
= 9,610.
