I like staples. I wonder why this teacher dislikes them. Your thoughts?

Since people tend to all staple things in the top left hand corner, the staples from multiple assignments tend to get caught on one another. Also, some people see them as being wasted - the assignments are not going to be kept, so why waste the staples.

Most teacher take out the staples when grading your paper so it might be easier for them when students don't staple papers.

Maybe so she can make copies or scan some of them for her collection of examples? Maybe they are just too bulky that way, they do tend to make one edge of a stack of papers really fat comprared to the rest. Or maybe she just has a phobia, who knows. I had a professor that would charge you 2 cent's if you didn't staple your own paper because he'd do it and then charge you for the staple. People have weird things like that. It's what makes life interesting lol. =)

The only possible reason I can think of is that it makes photocopying harder but I don't know why she would want to photocopy them.
If I was a teacher, I would want my students to staple their work because it means it stays together. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing pages from the homework you were meaning to mark.
I would ask him or her politely as to the reason and then I would comply with their requests.

The papers don't stack up nicely when you have a classroom full of assignments stapled? Or maybe he's tired of catching his finger on them.

i like staples to but maybe she thinks the kids are to young for them and might hurt themselves. OK

Perhaps she is a bit clumsy and they hurt her. Or they may make it hard for her to read while turning the pages.
