I need to research some topic in Psychology to prepare a paper for the year's end.

So, what are some interesting, current discoveries or findings (contrary to present thinking) that might make a good research paper?

Why not choose something having to do with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).... this is a pretty hot topic in the news and in schools (especially having to do with perscribing medications to children).

Hm mm... I think a good topic would be to find out why so many people are diagnosed as bipolar all of the sudden. That seems to be a term maybe overused. Doctors have to write a diagnosis when a patient is seen, in order to bill the insurance companies. I think this one is overstated. That does not mean a person is not bipolar. I just think that too many people are possibly being misdiagnosed. This topic may be too difficult to research, but that is something very interesting to me at least.

Another one could be why or how adults are diagnosed with ADD.

I ought to remark on what the person MITSY under me stated.. which extremely exceptionally much made me throw my head right into a wall.. Dissociative (spelled incorrect in her case) identity ailment is frequently derived from positioned up-worrying rigidity ailment?!! WTF are you on? Holy hell.. ok.. DID is the favourite term for what became as quickly as widespread as diverse character ailment (neither of which ought to be puzzled with Schizophrenia). there is not any correlation by any means with PTSD, nor will there ever be. there have been hyperlinks with anti-social variety habit and non everlasting psychotic breaks, yet on no account DID. do not confuse this with the incontrovertible fact that ongoing malnurturing and misparenting of a newborn can deliver approximately DID, by way of fact which could, yet PTSD is a single adventure, not a chain of years of mistreatment. Please, in case you understand not what you're speaking approximately, do not unfold bullcrap to the different unknowing the place they'll settle for what you assert by way of fact they too or naive.
