I would call on the 4th day, to check on the status. The HR people will see that you are still interested. But not pushy.

Take it from me I used to be a Staffing Manager for a huge Brokerage firm in NYC.......Many times hiring and interviewing candidates can become #1 priority one day.....then the hiring manager may get caught up in something job related and push that down to objective # 225.....then he'll realize he was swamped and thats why he needed someone in the first place....This happens the most with trainee positions many times b/c the trainer may have too much going on.....just chill and stop obsessing about it......your emotions will have absolutly no effect on the outcome.....so why waste them.......unless U like being impatient and nervous....in that case then worry away...

If they said up to 7 days, than patiently wait a full 7 business days. After that, if you feel the interview went well, send a letter thanking them for the interview and that you are sure you will be a good fit for the job and look forward to hearing from them. Good Luck.

They said 1-7 days, so wait :-) Only after the deadline and no call received (some companies have the policy not to call the unsuccessful applicants), you might want to call them to find out the status. I loved this approach - it shows that I'm interested!

Generally, if you have not received a call within a week, it's acceptable to call them and inquire about the status of your application. It takes patience.

I'd start to worry after the 7th day.

Then if still no phone call, write it off and keep looking. Good luck.
