Personally, I would. I'm a KC royals fan & David Glass is a cheap owner. People complain about their cheap owners & Steinbrenner is the opposite. He'll spend all he can to get a championship. What's wrong with that?

Personally as a Mets fan and hating anything Yankee no I wouldn't

Getting that out of the way, wether you love or hate the Yankees, you have to admit that at least he's trying to win, unlike some of the owners out there. There may be nothing worse as a fan than knowing that the team not only doesn't win but are not willing to but a competative product on to the feild. I understand that not all teams have the cash flow that the Yankees have, and sometimes have to rebuild. And its one thing when stupid GM's are making stupid trades that eventually hurt the team for a decade to come. Granted the fan base will grow weary. All that is understandable, not all of us are Billy Bene, and not all of us would think that Mike Piazza would be one of the best hitting catchers out there (He was drafted in the last round by the Dodgers only because he was Tommy Lasarda's god son or something like that, talk about connections)
But its another team when the ownership group just don't care are seems to care. We as fans can stand alot of heart break, but when the team itself doesn't the heart to even compete (even though they are getting over 50 million dollars in revenue sharing I'm look at you mr glass) thats when you draw the line. Stienbrenner may be a criminal a hard *** and be a loud mout a**hole, but atleast he's putting up the money, and hey if it wasn't for his big wallet paying for Arods contract i've bet the Rangers would be in a worse shape than they are right now

First of all, sorry for having David Glass as your owner in KC. Royals fans deserve better.

Second, just because an owner throws money around doesn't mean he should be emulated. Many owners spend lots of money, but let they let their GM decide how it should be spent. For examples, look at the Cardinals, Dodgers, Mets, Blue Jays and White Sox - all very successful franchises as of late.

There's a difference between spending all one can to win a championship vs. mettling in the affairs of the team.

George Steinbrenner here. Be advised that I have a no trade agreement in my ownership contract. Now A-Rod, what am I going to do with him ?
