I know these give you only 4 periods a year, but are they also better than other forms of birth control pills?

Either different brand names for the same thing, or they may be different dosages brought out by the same company
I use my monophasic pill (Norimin) to do the same thing as these. And I'm loving it. Tri-phasics gave me breakthrough bleeding all the time.

No, they are the same as all other monophasic combination pills. You can use alesse, Desogen (marvelon), ortho-cyclen ect. To skip periods and have 4 or less periods a year. Seasonale is just a marketing ploy.
